Surat city has earned the title of ‘National Clean Air City’ as part of the Swachh Vayu Survekshan Awards. This award was given during the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies event. It shows how hard Surat has worked to make the air cleaner, and their efforts have really paid off, especially under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP). Surat, along with Jabalpur and Agra, was recognized in Category-1 for cities with more than a million people. This event celebrated all the great work being done to help make the air cleaner in cities across India.
