Travelers departing from London Stansted Airport can now enjoy a new level of luxury, thanks to Emirates’ latest investment in a premium lounge. Opened on September 19, 2024, the airline’s new 900-square-metre space sets a high bar for comfort and service, designed specifically for first and business-class passengers, as well as Emirates Skywards members.
Investment in Luxury
Emirates has poured over £4 million into this state-of-the-art lounge, which can accommodate up to 125 guests. It is the first dedicated airline lounge at Stansted, joining the existing Escape Lounge that caters to all travelers for a fee starting at £31.99 per person.
“We want to offer something that elevates the travel experience,” said Mohammed Mattar, divisional senior vice president at Emirates. “The new lounge reflects our commitment to providing world-class hospitality both in the air and on the ground.”
A Taste of Gourmet Dining
One of the standout features of the new lounge is its “farm to table” gourmet menu, created in partnership with Sussex-based Full Circle Farms. Passengers can enjoy:

- Signature spirits and liqueurs
- A selection of fresh, locally sourced dishes
The lounge also includes modern amenities, such as complimentary Wi-Fi and private shower facilities, ensuring that travelers can relax before their flights.

Convenience and Accessibility

Emirates operates two daily flights from Stansted to its international hub in Dubai, serving as a gateway for UK travelers headed to numerous destinations. With 14 weekly flights, the airline has made a significant impact since beginning its service from the Essex airport in 2018.

With overall passenger numbers reaching 29.26 million over the past year—a 7.8% increase from the previous year—Stansted is quickly positioning itself as a major player in the UK travel market.
