Former Project 2025 director Paul Dans has expressed significant concerns regarding Donald Trump’s campaign management, urging the former president to replace his two campaign managers, Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita. Dans criticized them for allegedly failing to prepare Trump for the potential of Kamala Harris replacing Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee, which he believes has jeopardized Trump’s chances for the upcoming presidential election. He labeled their approach as “malpractice” and claimed that their misjudgments led to an embarrassing disavowal of the Project 2025 manifesto by Trump, who sought to distance himself from the controversial document.
During a CNN interview, Dans admitted to having close ties with Trump’s team, having visited Mar-a-Lago multiple times and engaged with Trump’s campaign staff. In the interview, he defended the conservative blueprint while also acknowledging the strong influence Trump had in its creation, despite Trump’s attempts to publicly disassociate from it.
The Project 2025 plan was created by a group of people who used to work for Trump. Some say it has very extreme ideas for changing the government. The plan suggests replacing long-time workers with people who are loyal to Trump and includes strict rules about abortion and birth control. As more people started to criticize Trump’s campaign, Dans pointed out the disagreements and problems within the team as they got ready for the election.
