Title: Passengers Stranded on Tarmac Due to Technical Issue
Content: Passengers aboard Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight SQ893 were stranded on the tarmac of Hong Kong International Airport for about four hours on September 10 due to a technical issue. The flight was scheduled to depart at 3:40 PM for Singapore but was eventually cancelled after multiple attempts to resolve the problem. Passengers were informed of the cancellation around 7:30 PM and began disembarking shortly after 8 PM.
A 59-year-old passenger named Tan said that the captain told everyone about a problem earlier that afternoon. Engineers were checking things out. The passengers stayed calm, but there was a time when the cabin lights and air-conditioning stopped working, which made it a bit uncomfortable. While they waited, the airline gave them juice and water. A spokesperson from the airline confirmed there was a technical issue and said that all passengers and crew got off the plane safely after the flight was canceled. The airline also helped the affected customers find new flights and apologized for the trouble, reminding everyone that keeping their customers and crew safe is always their top priority.
