In a heartbreaking incident in Sydney, an 87-year-old man on a mobility scooter lost his life after being struck by a vehicle that allegedly fled the scene. The crash, which occurred at the intersection of Mulgoa Road and Ransley Street in Penrith, has led to the arrest of a 48-year-old man identified as Seamus Rafter, who now faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving occasioning death.
